I used to work for international IT companies on some of their larger integration and cloud projects, but they nearly killed me with the travel and stress. Now, I work at a somewhat leisurely pace accepting contracts in areas that I am very familiar with and I travel when not working . It seems like a better situation.
My current focus is on the following domains and areas, and if you have some work in these areas I could probably help you without you having to hire anyone permanently. Most IT organizations will benefit from a strategy that embraces three core areas:
- IT Security including preperation and compliance of SOC 2 Type II audits,
- IT Resiliance based on recognized best practices (if you are the type to fall for every bubble or vendor promise, don't bother contacting me), and
- IT Best Practices including auditing the IT processess to comply with ISO and NIST standards.
